The Voie Lycienne Ultra Trail is a 160km, 6-stage race with a major vertical drop of almost 7,400m .
The route takes in narrow stony paths and forest tracks, and can be technical, but does not present any vertiginous passages or require any particular mountaineering experience.
Temperatures can exceed 35°C during the day and 23°C at night, making running and recovery more difficult.
The stages are fully marked out the day before the event, and the signs removed the following day. For safety reasons, the GPS track will be sent to participants in the weeks preceding the start.
Participants registered on the Discovery package take part in a section of the race route each day, chosen according to the nature and interest of the terrain.
The stages are marked by two Check Points (CP) where you'll find a doctor or an emergency nurse to deal with the most important care, but each competitor will have to be able to deal with his or her own little problems.
Mineral water and fruit will be available for the CPs, but due to the high temperatures, we have decided not to offer hot water to the CPs. A light snack will be offered at the end of each stage.
A light snack will be offered to riders at the finish of each stage.
Breakfast and evening meal will be prepared by the organization and taken together.
