NON-STOP, UNMARKED DESERT RUNS.
Participants reach Agadir by their own means. The registration fee includes the night in Agadir prior to departure and the night on the return journey to Agadir.
It's important to bear in mind that the length of the route, the temperatures encountered and the total isolation reserve these races for well-trained runners prepared to manage effort over a long period. The unmarked route will be marked by five Check Points (CP) where you will find only hot and cold water, medical assistance, and tents where you can rest.
Each competitor must orientate himself using his own GPS, strictly following the track provided by the organizers. The track will be provided in the weeks preceding the race.
Participants must be completely self-sufficient in terms of food. Medical staff will be present on the course to deal with the most important medical problems, but each competitor must be able to manage his or her own minor problems.
Poles are permitted but not essential. On the other hand, the use of gaiters is highly recommended.
Possibility of participating with a supervisor (min. 3 people)
You're dreaming of discovering southern Morocco, but you're apprehensive about having to face the vastness of the desert alone. You're not comfortable with GPS navigation, and you don't feel brave enough to walk through the night on the endless Plage Blanche.
Not to worry! We've set up a group race, supervised by an experienced runner who will guide and encourage you throughout the race, staying by your side.
Of course, this group will not be out to win the race, but to get everyone to the finish, without having to face the legitimate fears of any beginner.
